TOP FIVE ITEMS TO KEEP YOU TOASTIE DURING A BLIZZARD

BRRRRRRRR BRRRRRRR. No, it's not the phone ringing, it's the sound of an extremely cold person. Not you though, as you have read my top five items to keep you toastie. Lovely.

  Scarves by Simpkin, £60 http://www.etsy.com/shop/ScarvesbySimpkins?ref=top_trail
I don't think anything will beat a big chunky-knit scarf to keep you warm. Nearly two meters long, and hand-made with silky-soft Alpaca wool (which is eight times warmer than sheep's wool), Scarves by Simpkin's hand-knitted scarves, in a range of stunning colours, are just what you need on a chilly day. They'd make a fab Christmas gift for knitwear lovers too. Wrap me up in one now!
Karl Donoghue Lambskin Earmuffs, £86
http://www.selfridges.com/
Suffer no more with cold ears. These lamb skin ear muffs are not only beautiful, but they are A* cold killers. Stylish and practical - my mum would be so proud!
Mini Hottie Hand Warmer, £4.99
If there's a sudden, sharp burst of chilliness, you need to be prepared. Keep a handwarmer - such as the Mini Hottie Hand Warmer - in your bag for toasty mitts in five seconds. Just like a hot water bottle, these hand-warmers are re-usable (they can be re-activated with boiling water)!
Classic Short UGG Boots, £170
http://www.office.co.uk/
There's nothing worse than cold feet, but there is a simple solution. UGG Boots. Slip on a pair of these fur-lined pieces of heaven, and never worry about frozen toes again!
KeepCup, £8
It's SO freezing that there is no time to get to Cafe Nero. You need to have a hot drink in your hand as you leave home... or you may not make it to wherever it is you're going! I introduce the answer - the KeepCup. I am reliably told it is the world's first barista standard, reusable cup. Using this cup is also helping save the environment, which may warm you up from the inside anyway!
